STRAIGHTENING

To support heat treatment and machining capabilities HOWCO GROUP has developed comprehensive straightening facilities.  With certain products this is an essential and cost-effective process which reduces machining set-up time by correcting straightness problems caused by heat treatment.  

The equipment comprises 400 and 600 ton press-type straightners for tubes and bars up to 12” diameter which can be straightened to a commercial tolerance of 1: 500 or better.  A Multi-Roll Straightening Press is used for high volume mid-range bar and tube for tolerances of ¼” in 5 ft to API tolerances of  1/ 8” in 5 ft.
