GENERAL SCOPE
This is a Nickel-Copper alloy with moderate strength and good corrosion
resistance in marine environments, hydrofluoric and sulphuric acid and
alkalies. Unlike Alloy 500 the alloy is not age hardenable.
Alloy 400 is often used
in marine environments for fasteners, piping, propeller shafts and valve &
pump components.
