GENERAL SCOPE
XM–19 is an austenitic stainless steel with corrosion resistance similar to
or better than 316 grade stainless steel yet has significantly higher
strength. Common applications are in Pumps, Valves, Fittings, Fasteners,
Marine Shafts etc.
The alloy is normally supplied in the annealed condition, though small
sections (up to 3" Dia) can have enhanced mechanical properties through
controlled hot working practices.
