General scope

Alloy 945X is a high strength grade of 945 superior age-hardenable alloy designed to provide a combination of high strength and excellent corrosion resistance.

It also protects against chloride stress-corrosion cracking as well as outstanding general corrosion resistance to reducing chemicals and aids resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and oxidizing environments.

As Alloy 945X is resistant to sulphide stress-corrosion cracking and stress cracking in H2S environments, it is suitable for down hole and surface gas well components.

These applications include tubular products, valves, hangers, landing nipples, tool joints and packers. The alloy can also be used for fasteners, pump shafting and high strength piping systems.

Alloy 945 is approved under NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156-3 for use in oil and gas applications up to NACE level VII and level VI-450ºF severity.

Alloy C-276

UNS N10276 : ASTM B574 (VO2.04)

General scope

C-276 nickel alloy has a particularly high molybdenum level which combined with the tungsten addition gives it very good is crevice and pitting corrosion resistance. This makes it a particular suitable material for use in severe environments such as pollution control and chemical processing.

General scope

Alloy UNS N05500 is a precipitation hardening version of Alloy 400 combining good corrosion resistance with high strength, increased hardness, low magnetic permeability and excellent cryogenic properties. Used widely in marine environments, as Pump Shafts, Fasteners, Propeller Shafts, Rotor Blades, Valve Trim, etc.

The alloy can also be supplied in the solution annealed and age hardened condition.

Until 2003, this alloy was approved for "general use". However, it is now restricted to special components and restricted well environments.

Alloy X-750

General scope

Alloy X750 is an age-hardening Nickel Chromium alloy, similar to Alloy 600 but with small additions of Aluminum and Titanium to give the alloy its age hardening properties. It combines both excellent high temperature and sub-zero properties.

Properties up to 600°C(1100°F) are normally tensile limited and above this temperature, stress- rupture / creep limited.

The alloy is approved by NACE MR0175 in several heat treatment conditions, solution annealed and aged, solution annealed, hot worked and hot worked and aged, all of which are subject to a 35 HRC hardness restriction.

  • In spring forms the cold worked and age hardened condition is accepted to 50 HRC.

General scope

Alloy 400 a Nickel-Copper alloy with moderate strength and good corrosion resistance in marine environments, hydrofluoric and sulphuric acid and alkalies. Unlike Alloy 500 the alloy is not age hardenable.

Alloy 400 is often used in marine environments for fasteners, piping, propeller shafts and valve & pump components.

Until 2003, this alloy was approved for "general use". However, it is now restricted to special components and restricted well environments.
