General scope
Both austenitic stainless steel from the 300 series 18/8 family. With the additional Molybdenum in 316 giving slightly superior corrosion properties.
Normally supplied Solution Annealed/Treated although it can be supplied cold worked with higher strength properties. The "L" grade has a reduced carbon level to improve corrosion resistance after welding, and generally is more commonly available.
Primarily manufactured in:
- Dubai, UAE
- Edmonton, Canada
- Houston, Texas
- Sheffield, England
- Singapore
