We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer based at our site in Irvine, Scotland to ensure that Plant & Equipment is maintained in accordance with Company and Statutory requirements
Duties and Responsibilities
● Interpret equipment and plant layout drawings: mechanical and electrical
● Produce documentary evidence and carry out scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with schedule and legislative requirements ensuring that maintenance data records are accurately and promptly updated
● Respond to machine and plant equipment breakdowns, carry out the necessary repairs and report cause of breakdown
● Provide evidence of plant and equipment breakdown occurrences coupled with documented improvement
recommendations
● A systematic and methodical approach to work organization is required to ensure that our housekeeping standard is maintained in accordance with Company requirements providing visible evidence of compliance
Competencies
● Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimum supervision
● Multi skilled
● Good fault finding and problem-solving skills
● Knowledge in MS office and other applications
● A good understanding and a proactive approach to Health, Safety and Environmental is essential
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
● Plant and equipment breakdowns are addressed in line with company standards
● Planned maintenance schedules are adhered to and timeframes met
Job Requirements Qualifications
● Electrical knowledge and a Mechanical bias
● Traditional apprenticeship coupled with appropriate technical qualifications; City & Guilds /ONC/HNC in Electrical
Maintenance
● Machine tools and CNC controls experience
● IEE Regulation 18th edition certified advantageous
