The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing the production
process to ensure efficient and effective operations
Duties and Responsibilities
● Manage schedule adherence of production Operations (WTL’s).
● Monitor plan v actual & report to Sales for future bids.
● Manage resources so that all work centres are fully manned
where required.
● Communicate and feedback any scheduling or quality issues
● Attend quality meeting and participate in NCR activities through
RCCA
● Attend pre-production meetings (PPM’s) to represent machine
shop and ensure that any concerns or complications are
highlighted.
● Run daily production meetings on the shop floor at the ITC and
hold weekly toolbox talk meetings on the shop floor at the ITC.
● Drive a culture of 5S workplace organisation, H&S & quality.

● Coordination with cross-functional teams, conveying production
goals, providing feedback, and reporting to higher management.
Health & Safety Compliance:
● Ensuring a safe working environment is critical. Competencies in
health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and accident
prevention are essential for maintaining a safe workplace and
should be evaluated and reported on a regular basis.
Problem Solving and Decision Making:
● Skilled in analysing problems, identifying root causes, and
making effective decisions under pressure.
Team Leadership and Management:
● Lead and motivate teams of production workers, Team Leaders,
and support staff. Strong leadership skills are necessary to
manage
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement:
● Be familiar with lean manufacturing principles and
methodologies, such as Six Sigma and Kaizen.
Technical Knowledge:
● Possess a strong understanding of the technical aspects of the
production process, including equipment, machinery, materials,
and relevant technologies. This knowledge helps in making
informed decisions and troubleshooting issues.
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
● Overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
● On time delivery (OTD).
● Employee engagement and satisfactory training completion.
● Cost savings from process improvements.
● Schedule adherence. Production cycle time. Resource utilisation
efficiency.
● Timeliness of communication and collaboration between other
departments.
Job Requirements Qualifications
● Previous experience within the oil and gas industry is preferred
but not essential.
● Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines.
● Must have an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar.
● Fanuc or Mazatrol experience advantageous.
● Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production
planning, and quality control methodologies.
● Proficiency in using manufacturing software, ERP systems, and
other relevant tools for production management and analysis.
● Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous
improvement methodologies.
● Proven track record of effective team leadership, motivation, and
development.
