To champion the quality and technical requirements of Howco and our customers throughout Singapore & the AP region.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure all tasks and work complies with Health & Safety, environmental & quality policies and procedures of the company and champion these policies & procedures at all times.
Provide technical support to the Singapore based sales team as required with the support of the Technical & Quality Manager.
Take the lead in investigation and closure of all CAPA involving significant technical involvement with the support of the Technical & Quality Manager.
Take the lead in implementation of internal audit schedule and be active in ensuring the company quality and technical requirements are met.
Engage in the approval process of all “special process suppliers” allocated to Singapore.
Support the MSS2 Project in terms of spec creation and guidance for the Sales and Certification teams.
Authority to approve and release concessions.
Competencies
Leadership skills, problem solving skills, ability to mentor & support others.
Competence in manufacture of low alloy, stainless steel, and nickel raw materials.
Competence in key technical and quality issues relating to heat treatment of low alloy and nickel alloy steels.
Competence and knowledge of main customer material specification requirements.
Team working and understanding of Quality methodologies such as 5 why & fishbone diagrams.
Understand ISO 9001 expectations on non-conformities corrective action, preventative action, Risk & MofC.
Process and compliance auditing methodologies.
Technical knowledge of special processes employed by the Singapore plant.
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
Target of zero on Health & Safety, incidents with in reporting responsibilities.
Time frame for closure on CAPA specified in CAPA procedure is met, the CAPA content address the root cause and if a CA it is closed wherever possible as effective.
Internal audit schedule adherence.
All special process suppliers had a technical competence audit performed with last 3 years.
Technical basis for approval of all special process suppliers recorded.
Approval process by customers running smoothly.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Awareness of policies and how they apply in Howco.
Qualified to degree level in Metallurgy or other related discipline or 2 year qualification in metallurgy or other related disciple (HNC/HND/ foundation degree plus minimum of 5 years direct experience in oil patch metallurgical issues.
Experience in a variety of quality management approaches to identifying and eliminating root causes.
IRCA lead auditor qualification.
Knowledge of national, customer and purchase specifications.
