ALLOY 718 Aero

NICKEL & SUPER ALLOYS

UNS N07718: ASTM B637 AMS 5662 & 5663

UT to AMS-STD-2154 Class AA

GENERAL SCOPE

Alloy 718 Aero is a precipitation hardenable nickel-based superalloy with additions of molybdenum, niobium, titanium and aluminium initially developed for use in rotating parts in aerospace and gas turbine applications.

It has excellent yield and tensile strength and creep rupture properties up to 704°C (1300°F), and is suitable for long-term application under high stress and temperature. It also displays excellent resistance to oxidation, corrosion resistance, and good weldability.

It is a widely used alloy in the aerospace industry in critical applications such as engine components, airframe parts, and fasteners.
