When you think of Dubai, cricket might not be the first sport that comes to mind—but at our Emirati office, it’s a clear favourite! For the past three years, our annual Howco Inter-Cricket Tournament has sparked friendly inter-company competition, and this year was no exception.
Held in February, the third edition of our much-anticipated tournament brought out the competitive spirit in our Dubai team. While it’s all in good fun, make no mistake—everyone was determined to take home the title!
Of course, you can’t hold a cricket tournament without a ground and for that, we turned to Body and Soul, located at Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman.
Competing for the honour of being the 2025 champions were four teams. Each team had 11 players from across the Howco Dubai office, with the Howco Riders, Howco Defenders, Howco Warriors and Howco Legends duking it out through the day.
With teammates showcasing impressive cricketing skills and supporters cheering from the sidelines, the energy was electric. After a series of thrilling matches, the Howco Riders emerged victorious, securing the win with an outstanding 94 runs!
Reflecting on the day, the event organizer shared: “From powerful sixes to stunning catches, every player gave it their all, making this event a fantastic blend of fun and camaraderie. It wasn’t just about winning—it was about strengthening our bond, embracing teamwork and creating unforgettable memories.”
